About this site

How often have to had an emotional response to something someone said to you. Something a child said to you, maybe a parent, partner or friend. Did you laugh, cry, run away or did it stop you in your tracks?. I invite you to use this site to share your experience.

Life is full of memories, some we would like to forget while others we would like to remember forever. If, like me, you have difficulty recalling events from your past then you may wish to read on.

I use photographs and blogs to record events in my life. They trigger memories for me and allow me to share them with others.

I have created this blog to allow you record those memories you would like to share. My initial intention was to keep a record of the very amusing, sometimes embarrassing and often acute observation of my children and more recently, my grandchildren. Then I thought about the everyday happenings, brief encounters that brought happiness or sadness to my day. The life changing events that came out of the blue or were creeping up on me all the time, unnoticed. So, I thought, I need two blogs, one for the kids and another for everything else.

Ideally your post should give some background to the event. It would be nice if you said where you come from e.g., country, state, county etc. When this happened, the year or time of year would be useful. Would you classify it as happy, sad, embarrassing or maybe life changing. I will build a list of labels over time so it will be easier to read the type of stories to suit your mood.

I have a separate page dedicated to the stories about our wonderful children. follow this link to share your story or read about other people's experiences with their children  Kids Tell Tales
